Arrow Marking the Way to Stanage Edge

Pride & Prejudice (2005 production) with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen was filmed throughout this lovely area in England called the Peak District.

Remember that scene where Keira is standing on the edge of a huge rock, the wind rushing through her hair and ruffling her dress? Well that was filmed at Stanage Edge right behind North Lees Hall! In fact, the movie notes list North Lees Hall as one of the filming locations… I’ll have to watch the movie again tonight to see if I can recognize anything.

Also, the 2006 BBC Masterpiece Theatre production of Jane Eyre was filmed here and another location nearby, Haddon Hall. I have some wonderful images of my Haddon Hall visit to share with you later!
